Several states did outlaw oral sex, until the Supreme Court struck down sodomy laws with Lawrence v Texas. Only 20 years ago.

And let me tell you, Texas wants their law back.

Just last year, after the Supreme Court struck down Roe v Wade, lots of very serious Texas Republicans (Read: conservative Christians) started talking about the possibility of overturning Lawrence.

Something frightening to think about is this: The reason the Lawrence case made it to the Supreme Court in the first place is that Texas prosecutors enforced the law.

They arrested and jailed people for having private sex in their own bedroom in the house they owned together. That literally happened. And the Supreme Court said, hell no, Texas. Stop it.

But Texas wants its law back.
