Seriously? I remember those from my childhood, when every Baptist around me was pushing them as "God's instructions" for how character and personality work. It never occurred to me then to inquire as to how ancient Greek philosophy has become Protestant Christian psychology. But I should have inquired! Lol. (Not that an inquiry would have accomplished anything.)

This is a cool story, thanks! It really is humorous to imagine what would happen if the Johnsons took Buttigieg up on his invitation. I wish they would, actually. I don't suppose that a whole lot of good would be accomplished, but surely some good would be, if not for the Johnsons themselves then for other people paying attention.
