Sadly, people insist on making our lives political. They call us radical when all we demand is our due: full humanity, equality, and inclusion.

You would not believe how many people have already told me my article is wrong, that the BBC has an obligation to recognize that LGBTQ equality is controversial.

It’s that attitude from liberal and progressive people that makes genuine equality so difficult to achieve. Because that attitude refuses to admit that we have an indisputable, innate claim to full human rights — off limits to any political process.
