Sadly, it’s a lot worse than Pope Francis not supporting same-sex marriage. He upholds a system of theology that fundamentally dehumanizes and condemns LGBTQ people. The Catholic Church officially teaches that same-sex couples commit “acts of grave depravity.’ They teach that gay people are “intrinsically disordered.” They teach the transgender people “annihilate nature" and are a threat to Western civilization.

Pope Francis has endorsed all of those doctrines. He is by any objective measure a sick, evil homophobic, transphobic bigot.

The German church is working hard to reform and get rid of those horrifying theologies. Pope Francis has tried to make them stop the reform process.

It’s really interesting that German press typically reports on Francis as being an obstacle to reform and an obstacle to human decency. Press in the United States treatsl him like he’s a pretty good guy.

Even though he’s a pig with a track record of strong-arm authoritarianism. His actions when he was a bishop in Argentina were nothing short of fascistic. It’s amazing the American press paint a completely different picture of him. And I might add, a completely false picture.
