Reminds me of the time several years ago that a friend of mine and I were dining and a fancy Detroit establishment. And the restaurant had started out as a small dream from one quite creative chef. We discovered the place in an out of the way neighborhood and returned time and again for superbly prepared food.
Word got out about how good they were, and they moved into a much larger space downtown.
We couldn't wait for our first meal there.
And guess what? It included ants. On a salad.
Did we raise the roof? Call the health inspector?
No, ordered them on purpose as an optional addition to that particular salad. First and only time (that I know about) that I've eaten ants!
