Reminds me of the time I went to hear Greg Louganis speak in Montreal. He talked about how his sexual orientation was kind of an “open secret” during his Olympic diving career. He couldn’t be actually open, though, without risking critical sponsorships.

He talked about how he knew the day would arrive when secrecy was no longer necessary.
