Reminds me I read a different article today in the National Catholic Register, which is a newspaper owned and managed by the US Conference of Catholic Bishops.

The article was about (and I'm not kidding even a little!) a collection of Catholic saints who were able to see and interact with their "guardian angels."

Reported as straight news. No irony. No skepticism.

Endorsed by the highest-ranking, most powerful Catholic priests in the U.S., the same priests who insist that I'm depraved and disordered, the same priests who lobbied Congress to kill a law enabling the new federal Suicide Crisis line because the law mandated specific support for queer people in crisis.

It's helpful to remember that these cruel pigs truly believe in guardian angels and demons.

It helps us understand that they're just ignorant, superstitious fools who happened to be twisted and evil at the same time.

It's beyond me how anybody can support the Catholic Church.
