Remember when we were young and science and learning and all that were respected? When people dreamed of becoming engineers and scientists because those were the people who knew things and could do things and could turn the world into a better place?

Somehow, our society has abandoned the respect for learning and know-how. We value ignorance and conspiracy over data and reality.

And we're proud of it. And that astonishes me.
