Really? One of my favorite YouTube channels is run by a young woman who makes videos of her 50-some-year-old mother playing the chess hustlers in NYC's Washington Square Park. It's an amusing schtick, because her mother is a rated grand master, or GM in chess slang.

These chess hustlers are not used to losing, not against random strangers who come up to play at their tables. In the videos, you can see their eyes start to get big as they realize they're being outplayed and they can't win.

"Who ARE you?" asked one of them once in a moment of frustration.

"I'm a GM, she said with a wink.

"Oh, thank God. I thought I was losing it. Another game? It's not every day I got a chance to play a GM. Lemme see if I can hold my own this time."
