Really? Have you ever been to the UK? The culture there is very similar to that in the US, and mental illness is a problem there as well as it is here. Access to mental health care in the UK, despite the NHS, is gate-kept and limited. I don't know what makes you think young men in the UK are less likely to suffer mental health problems than young men in the US, but I strongly suspect that is not the case.
