Prism & Pen and I recently established a beachhead on Mastodon, and the results are okay so far. Getting following and readership has not been fast for us, but it wasn't fast initially on Twitter either, years ago.

We're in it for the long haul, which I think is a reasonable plan for anyone looking for social media following. So we're not paying a lot of attention to people criticizing the fediverse.

We're too busy actually using it, which is probably how it should be if it's to succeed.
