Praying for homophobic bullies is a far cry from respecting them and offering them blessings.

It’s funny how nobody ever expects that kind of sentiment be extended to members of the KKK. Yet the homophobes who are demanding that all United Methodists adhere to their bigoted beliefs are precise moral equivalents to members of the KKK.

We should not hesitate to tell them precisely how evil and horrifying they are.

Respect them? Hell, it is right that we should revile them. We must revile them.
