Perspective is important here. It’s really tough striking a balance between appreciating the seriousness of what’s going on and understanding that it’s nothing like the end of the world.

We’re in for a rough ride for the next several months. The sad truth is that a lot of older people and people with serious health conditions are vulnerable.

But most of us who get the virus are going to be fine.

We are taking extraordinary measures to self isolate in order to protect the most vulnerable of us and to keep hospitals free for people who need them the most.

We are going to pay a price, an economic one, but we are going to pull through.

We are going to be alright. Nobody expected this, so we’re all a bit shocked. But as the days and weeks pass, we will cope with the new normal.

And then we will start to rebuild.

We got this!
