Personally, I agree. I went to Europe for a several years long stint in the military when I was just out of college. Discovering outstanding beer in Belgium and Germany changed my taste forever. By the time I got back, the great U.S. beer Renaissance was already beginning, and I never saw a reason to drink anything made by the major manufacturers that came to define American beer post-Pohibition.

Perhaps I should have disclosed that. ;-)
