Personal privilege blinds people.

Lots of folks need jobs to survive. They don’t care if they’re wanted or not. They care about the paycheck they need to pay the rent and buy food.

Republicans refuse to make it illegal to fire those those people for being trans or gay.

That’s horrifying immorality.

Trump’s racism and appeals to racist sentiment are equally horrifying. I’m not saying Trump hates Black people. I suppose he probably doesn’t. But he’s still a racist, and he’s still a homophobe.

Read the article again. Racism and homophobia are ideologies and political systems — not manifestations of personal animous.
