People who battle the oppression of the patriarchy head-on are always counseled to be silent. We are always told that we're going too far, we're being too blunt, or that no one will pay attention to us because we are speaking too strongly. But without pressure from people directly confronting systems of oppression, those systems stay in place.

One day, it's very likely that someone much more moderate than you will make an objection about something you've been raising consciousness about for years, and something will finally, definitively get done about it.

That moderate person will probably believe they are responsible for the change, and that will be to some minimal extent true. But it won't change the fact that you and people like you actually brought about the change.
