Other than by trying to amplify the voices of my Black friends, I’ve stayed the hell out of this interview debate, because I just don’t think it’s my business. I was aghast at what Biden said, but that’s a personal reaction I don’t feel needs space in the public square.

I did kick in last night on Twitter, reacting to a Vote Blue No Matter white person who was criticizing white people whom he characterized as being “butt hurt” over Biden’s remarks.

I suggested (because he expected me to retweet him) that he needed to step back and let Black folks talk.

Didn’t go over well.
