One thing I've noticed about Adobe is that the frequency of new available images (at least in the topics I write about) is really great. On the free services, LGBTQ writers are pretty much stuck with images that have been available for years. Very little seems to change. But it feels like every time I do an Adobe search, I see photos I've never seen before. I suppose this is because photographers (like writers) are more motivated to submit work to services that pay them, even if the pay isn't very good.
But I am thinking about learning some new tricks with Canva or something. I've been lightly editing photos (when the license allows me) for a long time, but I'm thinking it's time to dive into editing with text and other features.
