One really good tip for frequent swimmers who need vision correction: prescription swimming goggles.

You don’t need to get them from an eye doctor or anything. They’re available online. I got mine from Amazon, and all I needed to know was my prescription numbers.

They were very inexpensive and they opened up a whole new world for me swimming underwater. I have to confess that I did used to occasionally swim in the ocean with my contacts in. But I knew it wasn’t a good idea, and it did cause me a lot of discomfort afterwards from the tightening you mention.

Those prescription goggles are so awesome. I can see with perfect clarity and watch fish swimming around with me.
