One phenomenon I notice frequently, Jeffry, is anti-LGBTQ people ridiculing our initials in order to discredit movements for equality among gender and sexual minorities.
Naturally, that’s a weak argument, barely worth responding to, but it does strengthen my resolve not to bicker about language.
Personally, I find LGBTQ to be a nice compromise between inclusivity and efficiency, but I have no quarrel with people who wish to use different initials or different terminology.
I’d rather argue with our detractors than with members of our diverse communities.
