One hell of a chapter, John!

I remember being scared to death once getting anonymously tested for HIV after I came down with an STI, though not syphilis.

That wasn't the first time I was anonymously tested for HIV, but it was certainly the scariest. I thought I'd taken all precautions necessary to stay safe, but my other diagnosis told me I must have slipped up at least once or twice.

The only time a technician ever told me I was HIV positive was in my nightmares, which were not infrequent. I got goosebumps reading this chapter where my nightmares came true in your life.

This is excellent writing, and courageously honest!
