Oh, yes! Sometimes I felt like I was living in the middle of soap opera. ;-) And yeah, people were very quick to tell me who the "knuckleheads" were and why I should steer clear. They were also quick to offer food and drink, share a laugh, or just sit for a minute to enjoy a summer evening on the porch.

I'm sure I got gossiped about, but everyone did, so I didn't feel bad about it.
