Oh. My. God. How ridiculously absurd Ben Shapiro is.

Look, I’m a white guy so I probably have no business butting into this conversation, but I lived in a so-called high crime neighborhood in Detroit for many years. I know firsthand how misinformed people are who don’t live in areas like that.

I can say for an almost certain personal fact that businesses don’t stay out of those neighborhoods because crime is high.

They stay out because people are too poor to afford their goods and services.

How the hell are the police supposed to fix that?

Furthermore, even in areas where crime is very high, it’s rarely random. My neighbors and I didn’t feel unsafe walking around our neighborhood, and the businesses that existed took routine precautions that kept them pretty safe too.

More police wouldn’t have changed any of that. At all.
