Oh, I have great regard for them too, I just don't think it's working. I watch videos every day of police brutality and misconduct that doesn't quite rise to the level that national media consider worth reporting.

I watch women cops acting every bit the jack-booted thugs that men cops act. I watch women cops bully and abuse people, talk to people like they're animals. It's as nauseating when they do it as when men do it.

I think police culture in the U.S. is fundamentally sick and twisted. I may be an old-fashioned leftist activist, and this may no longer be popular to say, but: I am firmly convinced that cops are pigs, almost all cops.

I don't know how we begin to change their sick culture, but clearly, better representation isn't doing much to make the pigs more human and decent.
