Oh, I doubt things are that dire. Polling consistently shows most Americans oppose Christian extremism. And Republicans have only held on to power through gerrymandering and voter suppression. They’re facing a demographic wave they can’t ultimately resist, especially as more and more Americans become disillusioned with them when they pull stunts like this, which are deeply unpopular.
