Oh, I definitely understand that racism is endemic and institutional in the US, the UK, and many other places, ZUVA. I’m sorry if my clumsy expression made it seem otherwise. What I was trying to say is that many people at least believe that they’re anti-racist, even if they don’t actually do anything to work against racism. At least where I live in the US, white people who are public racists find themselves ostracized from “polite” society. Sadly, public homophobes are mostly accepted as ordinary.

I need to work on how I use the racism example, because I don’t quite have it down as a corollary. I’m sorry if my artless usage was offensive.
