Oh, don’t get me wrong. I despise these deceptive organizations and would outlaw them for false advertising if I could. I just think that direct action would be more effective (And I say this as a former Act Up street activist with a decade of direct-action planning experience) if concentrated against policy makers like legislators and judges.
