Of course, and I do appreciate your perspective. As a gay man and a francophone, however, my own perspective is that I feel less at ease in France than in most parts of the United States. I mean, I’m not saying that France is a terrible place to be LGBTQ, but it’s not the progressive paradise most Americans presume it is.
