No, that's not anywhere nearly enough. I was raised in the church and I too well understand that a seat at the table often means a seat to be preached at. To be branded as a sinner. To be hounded to stop "sinning." We queer people don't need that kind of inclusion; we need genuine moral equality.
Evil church leaders like the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby absolutely must stop proclaiming to the world that we are sinners. The fiasco at Lambeth last year gravely harmed queer people all over the world. It started with that vicious demon Welby disinviting Canadian and US spouses of gay bishops.
It ended with Welby declaring to the world that we're sinners and that we always will be and that cannot change.
Who wants a seat in that sick church led by that revolting man?
