No, that is not true. You are repeating a false narrative. It takes a lot of specialized training and experience to become a doctor who works with transgender people to do medical or surgical gender affirmation. No trans person would choose a doctor or surgeon without that specialized training, which they would have had to have undertaken voluntarily.
For example, mastectomies for trans men are very different from mastectomies women receive because of breast cancer. No trans man anywhere chooses a surgeon who has not deliberately chosen to offer their services to trans men.
The same can be said for endocrinologists. No doctor writes prescriptions for hormones for transgender people without having undergone extensive training to specialize in that kind of treatment. And again, they would have had to have undertaken that training because they wanted to.
But none of this was the point of my comment anyway, which is about how professional associations already don’t approval of surgical procedures for children. Which despite all the hysteria, are simply not being performed.
