No, I've been single for quite a while, not something I regret in and of itself. I'm sort of in your shoes, though. I moved up here when my dad could no longer care for himself, because living in a nursing home was something he'd always been deeply frightened of. Both his parents died at home, and he wanted to also.

Now that he's passed, here I still am. I own this house and have become settled in strongly practical ways that will take determination and effort to change. I don't yet know if I'm going to do that.
