No college or university that has applied for a Title IX exemption has ever been denied a Title IX exemption. That's an interesting bit of trivia that, together with the now automatic presumption of exemption, clearly establishes queer people as second class citizens in our own nation.

We're required to pay taxes that support institutions that exclude and mistreat us, and I think that's outrageous, so thanks for writing about this.

I'm at also add how astonishing it seems to me that it supposedly Christian institution like Baylor feels the need to be exempt.

Students on campus complain that they're being harassed for being queer, mistreated for being gay or trans, and they claim that Baylor officials won't do anything about that. Won't investigate their complaints.

Baylor's response?

Oh sorry, the rules don't apply to us. We're Christian, so we don't have to obey Title IX and protect us deviant queer people.

I'm not surprised. Baylor has a sordid history of abusing queer students. The people who run Baylor are evil monsters, just like most Baptists.
