Nice story, Eric Griggs!

Maw maw. I haven’t thought of that diminutive in decades. I used to hear it now and then as a child in northern Alabama, or at I think that’s where I heard it.

When my dad was a teen, his best buddy in high school was the son of his town’s biggest funeral home. As a late teen, he went out on “collection” runs a few times with his buddy and his dad. He still talks about it.
