Neither of those passages speaks to eternal souls or life after death. You would have to presume that meaning already in order to receive it. While both passages talk about the possibility of physical resurrection of the dead for some people, they do not speak of an afterlife for most people or of souls that exist independently of bodies. Nothing in the Old Testament does, not unless you inject that meaning into the text from some external understanding or source.
