My jaw dropped when I first read about this. I couldn’t get mad at the principal, because the white parents put him in an impossible position. But I was deeply angry at and embarrassed about the white parents with the chutzpah to demand their clearly academically inferior children be elevated above what they deserved.

Kids who excel, who take hard classes and slay them, obviously deserve to be recognized for that. This whole episode has just been astonishing.
