My goodness, outrage over librarians not wanting Kirk Cameron reading from his book that urges people to be intolerant.

What a load of false equivalence.

On the one hand, we have the message that LGBTQ people are different but deserve to be treated with kindness and respect.

Then on Kirk's hand we have the message that LGBTQ people are crazy, embracing ideas that rational people know are plain stupid. Oh, and Kirk's conservative God hates it too.

Is it really surprising librarians aren't anxious to book him for readings?

And by the way, none of this speaks to the actual availability of his books in libraries. Not inviting someone to read it not the same as excluding their book from the library.

Given that his outraged press releases don't mention if libraries are choosing not to stock his books, I suspect that's not happening or not happening as much. If it were, he'd probably be screaming it from the mountain tops, as it were.
