My co-editor at P&P grew up near Kamloops and still has family there, some of whom are Indigenous. So this is hitting her hard too. Yes, I saw about the red handprints. And about two Catholic churches burning down. I obviously don’t approve of arson, but people are in so much pain right now. I think the Church is vastly underestimating both the harm they did and the measures they need to take to seek to redeem themselves.
