My character Dima in Moon Over Berlin, Sun over Santorini is dealing with gloom in today’s chapter. He’s infatuated with that sort of Russian literature that elevates gloom to an art form.
I think maybe there’s a fine line between recognizing and accepting the darkness inherent in life, and finding the mindset to overcome it.
Dima seems to be managing, even if he doesn’t recognize it.
