Murray Edelman, Ph.D., you’re a generation older than me and about the same age as my late partner who passed away a long time ago.
A native New Yorker, he told me plenty of stories about how things happened after Stonewall in Manhattan. I’ve never heard a first-hand account of somebody like you living in Chicago who was one of the leaders of the movement.
I’m inspired and deeply moved by it. Thank you so much for writing it. This is such an important part of our history, and something that needs to be preserved and celebrated.
Thank you!
Jim
P.S. Like you, I wished I could be at the Reclaim Pride march in Manhattan last Sunday, and like you I spend my time writing instead.
