Most states don't allow hard labor prison sentences anymore, having decided that hard labor is indeed cruel and unusual punishment, even though the US Supreme Court has not declared that and Congress hasn't passed a law to that effect.

It's time to for us as a people to catch up with that notion and enforce it nationwide, including in Louisiana.
