Mehmet, dude, get over yourself. I've been writing for years on Medium about LGBTQ equality, from hundreds of different, fine-grained perspectives. Medium frequently features my articles in LGBTQ, Equality, Family, and Parenting topics. You haven't taken even the the most basic efforts to learn that?

Wow.

I don’t need your advice about writing stories about LGBTQ equality. I’m writing one right now, like I do almost every day.

Thousands or tens of thousands of people will probably read it, like they do almost every day.

So, you know, thanks for the needless advice.

It’s not my responsibility as a marginalized person to argue against my own oppression. It’s your responsibility to educate yourself. If you want to learn about how LGBTQ people suffer, subscribe to my publications (which, hint, rival yours in numbers of subscribers) and make a real and concerted effort to learn things you don’t know about.

That learning is always your responsibility and never ever mine.

I can write, but I can’t force you to read. I can’t force you to stop saying that trying to teach children not to be “homosexual” is not discrimination, as you clearly and plainly asserted.

I can’t force you to work to become a better, less bigoted human being. And I won’t make the effort. I have too much work to do to focus on you and your casual, thoughtless homophobic bigotry.

But if you want to learn, then read. Then humble yourself. Then open your mind.

This is the age of Google and Google Scholar. Now is the (urgent) time for you to use both.

You know what, “Doctor?” I have academic credentials too. I invite you to figure out why I never trumpet them. I invite you to ponder long and hard about why you’re an ordinary person with no special privileges. I invite you to meditate on humility and the quest for human knowledge. I invite you to ask yourself why you have requested that I write an article about LGBTQ equality when writing articles about LGBTQ equality is all I ever do, just about every day.

I invite you to get off your high horse and communicate like the ordinary, unimportant human being that both you and I are.

Jim

P.S. If one more of your sycophants criticizes me for not addressing you by your academic title, I think I’ll most probably vomit.
