Medical treatment for transgender people is standard of care as defined by physicians, surgeons, and their respective professional associations.

No priest and no bishop has any business overriding the decisions of medical professionals. Clerics have nothing at all to do with health care. Not their bailiwick.

And when taxpayers are footing the bill? Then clerics absolutely must step back. The United States is not a theocracy and clerics must have no civil authority.
