"Mary Ingalls of Little House on the Prairie."

I was never a fan of the TV show, but as a small boy, I devoured all the books. I don't remember the title of the one Laura Ingalls Wilder wrote about her husband's youth on a big farm. But I remember scenes from it vividly!

I thought at the time that I loved it because I wanted to be the protagonist. I realized later it was because I wanted to be with him. At 9 or 10 years old, I was crushing on him madly.

Just thought I'd mention that as long as we're on the subject of embarrassing crushes. 🤣
