Marginalized people like queer people in black people have never been able to count on politicians and laws.

We thrive in our own communities, looking after our own.

I hate to say this, but it may be time to remember that and pay more attention to community building than to politics.

Because we and our communities will still be here no matter what happens. It's up to us how strong and supportive of our communities are.
