Wrap your mind around this: One of the main reasons the cops raided was to jail people who were cross dressing. The law was very specific about that.
Trans people have CERTAINLY been historically treated like shit - just like gay people. In fact, the public and the cops almost never used to distinguish the difference. We were all disgusting faggots who deserved to be beaten and jailed.
Some of us fought back, and we didn't fall for divide and conquer tactics.
