Lol!!!

I once had a friend who wrote very low-level (meaning very difficult) computer code for a living. He programmed “close to the board,” meaning he wrote the kind of code that controls devices rather than interacts with human beings.

Despite that, he insisted that his work was very creative and required an open and alternative mindset.

When he would get started on a big new project, he always rolled a joint and took a small hit off it and let it go out. Every 20 or 30 minutes, he’d repeat the process.

He’d work like that for hours and hours and hours and then go to bed.

The next day, he’d start to tackle code revision stone cold sober.

I’m not sure why it worked for him, but he swore then getting very lightly stoned amped his creativity.

Me? I’m with you, I just get forgetful and silly, lol.
