LNX took great professional risk to make art true to himself. It worked out for him, but it might not have.

When he came out as gay, when he started producing art with queer themes, he knew he might be destroying his career. Other artists have been sunk for less.

People are afraid of him because of his courage, his stubbornness, and his flamboyance.

People are often afraid of heroes. But as with Lil Nas X, heroes make the world a better place.
