Like oversight organizations all over the country, the OPA exists only for optics. It makes a show of investigating police officers, but never takes any significant action to provide real accountability and consequences.

The OPA is an example of why brutal racist cops are out of control in the United States. Oversight agencies aren’t really oversight agencies. They’re enablers.
