LGBTQ people are significantly different from cis/straight people. That's not arrogant, it's biological reality. We are a minority variant of human being. The difference matters, as the people who oppress us let us know constantly. Besides being different biologically, we have our own cultures, often quite different from majority culture.

There's nothing wrong with being different. There is something wrong with acting like we're the same as everyone else when we are not.
