Let’s also not forget the “naturalistic fallacy.” It is self evident that not all traits that appear in nature are beneficial, and that some traits that have developed through culture lead toward increased happiness and reduced suffering.

In fact, in some ways, religion can be viewed as a mechanism by which culture seeks to transcend nature.

Appeals to the non-natural state of same-sex attraction aren’t just inaccurate, they’re not even very relevant. We humans rarely make moral decisions based on what occurs in nature.
